About Corn Pulao
It is a simple and easy, flavored rice recipe made with a combination of long-grained basmati rice with a generous amount of sweet corn kernels. In other words, Sweet Corn Pulao is an extension of the traditional Rice Pulao but with sweet corn kernels as the hero ingredient. The recipe can also be treated as fried rice as it does not carry all the spices and herbs seen in the traditional pulao recipe. The rice is typically consumed with a simple raita but tastes great with any dal or curry too.
The recipe is simply made by tossing the rice with sweet corn, basic spices, and herbs in a large open vessel. However, the same recipe can also be made with different variations and toppings. The most common way is to make it with just rice and sweet corn as hero ingredients. However, the same pulao can also be made with other hero ingredients like paneer, potatoes, carrots, and soya chunks. In addition, it can also be made by frying the cooked rice with simple sweet corn and other assorted spices.
