Shipping Policy

At Standish Milling, we're committed to delivering your products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Here's some information to help you understand our shipping costs.

UPS Ground Shipping

We primarily use UPS Ground for our shipping. The cost of shipping is calculated based on the weight of your order and your location. UPS Ground offers reliable, cost-effective delivery for packages under 150 lbs.

You can estimate your shipping costs by adding items to your cart and entering your shipping address. Our system will automatically calculate the shipping costs before you proceed to checkout.

LTL (Less Than Truckload) Shipping

For larger orders over 150 lbs, we use Less Than Truckload (LTL) shipping. LTL shipping is a cost-effective way to ship large orders by combining shipments from multiple customers.

Here's how it works:

  1. You get a quote: When you add items to your cart that total more than 150 lbs, our system will provide an LTL shipping quote. This quote is based on the total weight of your order and your shipping address.

  2. Your order is shipped: Once your order is ready, we send it to the shipping carrier who combines it with other shipments going in the same direction. This process allows us to save on shipping costs and pass those savings onto you.

  3. Your order is delivered: The carrier will deliver your order to your specified address. Keep in mind that delivery times for LTL shipments may be longer than UPS Ground shipments due to the consolidation process.

What makes a good hunting blind? ›

Most hunters can agree that a good blind needs to be able to withstand the elements. Our Stump blinds are durable, weather resistant, and UV stabilized. The sun's harmful rays can't decay these blinds.

Where are stump blinds made? ›

We build lifelike Hunting Blinds. Our company is based on Christian values and morals, such as Integrity, Morality, Courtesy and Reliability. We are located in Bourbon Indiana.

What does blind mean in hunting? ›

A hunting blind (US), hide or machan is a concealment device or shelter for hunters or gamekeepers, designed to reduce the chance of detection by animals. There are different types of blinds for different situations, such as deer blinds and duck blinds.

What is the best color to wear in a deer blind? ›

    Wear Dark Clothes

Most quality blinds are designed with a dark or black interior. It is important to match this interior which, in most cases, means wearing dark camouflage or all black. Before running off to the store to find brand new black hunting clothes, check your current camouflage jackets and gear.

How high off the ground should a deer blind be? ›

What is the best height for a blind? Every hunter has different needs, so it is always best to pick hunting equipment or tactics that work best for your specific style of hunting, but a good rule of thumb is about 5-10 feet off the ground.

Do deer get scared of blinds? ›

A blind is likely an unfamiliar object to a deer, which is reason enough to avoid traveling in that area. Deer and other animals need time to get used to it, so set it up well before the season begins — three to six weeks should be ample time.

Why don t they sell corded blinds anymore? ›

Corded blinds are dangerous to children and pets. Roughly one child per month dies from blind cord strangulation, and more than 600 children per year are injured. That's nearly an average of 2 preventable injuries to a child per day. Between 1990 and 2015, more than 16,000 children were injured.

Can deer smell you in a blind? ›

Most importantly, you must remember that no ground blind is 100% scent-proof, so always practice comprehensive scent control.

Can deer still smell you in a blind? ›

A blind with windows that close can also be very effective against human odor. When hunting in an elevated blind, the human scent is carried through the air much higher, keeping deer from catching any sign of the hunter. Add closed windows to this scenario, and even less human odor can escape.

Can deer see hunting blinds? ›

Ground blinds have windows that give you a limited view, but because deer don't tolerate movement and noise at eye level, you must avoid the urge to peek out closed windows, especially behind you, because this allows light to enter the blind, which can expose you to any deer watching the blind.

Should I wear black or camo in a ground blind? ›

To help minimize movement, the hunter should wear black clothing on the upper body, hands, and head. By wearing black, the hunter blends with the interior of the blind, keeping them more concealed.

What do you put on the floor of a hunting blind? ›

A hunting blind floor mat should be lightweight enough to make it easy to transport, and it should be made from a material like foam, turf, or other material that will provide cushion and comfort to the days of hunting the blind will provide.

Do deer notice elevated blinds? ›

With our system, you can elevate your platform up to 12 feet off the ground. When you're that high above them, it's highly unlikely the deer will see you at the window with your bow drawn or hunting rifle ready. The system will likely look like any other tree to them.

What should I look for in a ground blind? ›

Stability is important since you never know what the weather or other conditions will bring. No portable ground blind is going to hold up to a tree falling on it or other similar catastrophes, but they should hold up to a very strong wind without a lot of swaying or flapping.
